Motomachi Shopping Street

A shopping street centered around streets in 1 through 5 Chome. There is a symbolic arch with a phoenix-shaped sculpture at the entrances on both ends. The street is lined up with many well-established brand shops of ""Hama Tra"" (Yokohama Traditional Fashion), as well as other clothing, variety goods, antique, cutlery, furniture, jewelry and popular foreign brand shops, delicious restaurants and fashionable cafes. Benches for resting and watering holes for pets are placed, offering a friendly environment for both humans and pets. Perfect place for a casual stroll.

Every year at the end of February and September, a large-scale sale known as "Charming Sale" is held for a week. Many people from all around Japan visit Motomachi for this event. Many stores are closed on Mondays.
