One of the Important Cultural Properties of Japan. The American-Victorian style foreign residence sitting in the Yamate Italian Garden housed the diplomat of the Meiji Government, who served as the New York consul general. The rooms such as the dining room, the reception room, the study, and the bed rooms show the living style of the Meiji period. *There is a resting space overlooking the view of the Yamate Italian Garden.
