NYK HIKAWAMARU has been open to the public since its renovation on April 25th, 2008. You can see cabins featuring Art Deco interiors, including the first-class dining saloon, the first-class smoking room and the deluxe cabin, which have been remodeled based on the material from the time NYK HIKAWAMARU was operating as a passenger ship between Yokohama and Seattle before the war. There is an exhibition room where the eventful history of NYK HIKAWAMARU is introduced. The promenade deck has a stunning view of the Yokohama Port.

Jack, Queen & King Towers

The red
brick clock tower of the Yokohama City Port-opening Memorial Hall
represents the Jack. The Islamic like green dome of the Yokohama Customhouse
the Queen. The square two-layered tower of the Kanagawa Prefectural
Government the King. For a long time the towers have been affectionately
known by these names because of their uniquely elegant appearance.

Silk Museum

the rare silk museums in the world. Exhibits the process of silk production

Marine Tower

Marine Tower was reopened in May 2009 for 150th anniversary of opening of the port. You are able to view the vast expanse of bay from the refurbished observatory. A new glass curtain wall on the Yamashita Park side on lower floors produces a fresh look. There is a space introducing the culture and history of Yokohama, a cafe, and a restaurant which uses ingredients produced in local areas. This is a good spot to stop by when strolling in that area.

Yokohama International Passenger Terminal "Osanbashi Pier"

called "Meriken(American) Wharf" , serves as the maritime
entrance to Yokohama Port. It is presently used as an international
marine terminal for luxury cruise ships, such as the Queen Elizabeth
II, from around the world.

The Japan Newspaper Museum

Museum
specializing in newspapers. The history of newspapers from the first
paper to the present in Japan and production processes are introduced
using actual machines, pictures, and replicas.

(who present admission tickets from their previous visit): 100 yen
off. Family fees (500 yen for every two general visitors) are available

Museum of Yokohama Urban History

This historical
building, built in 1929 as Yokohama Central Telephone Office and later
made the Yokohama Long Distance Telephone Office, is put to practical
use as a commemoration hall to display a rich variety of materials
on Yokohama's history and culture cultivated since the opening of
the port, thus preserving the building. Models of lost modern buildings,
brick drain manholes, and gaslights of the Meiji period are also on
show to the public.
