We have enhanced the user interface of our English website!
The new website enables easy search for unique venues and excitieng incentive ideas Yokohama has to offer.

For incentive ideas, some of the documents are also available for you to download in Korean and Chinese.

Shin-Yokohama; Destination for Sports & Events! (updated: Feb. 16, 2012)

On Feb.8th, Shin-Yokohama MICE Committee has hosted "Shin-Yokohama Sports & Event Inspection Tour" for the event planners around Greater Tokyo Area.

Shin-Yokohama is a transportation hub of City of Yokohama with the gateway to Shinkansen(Bullet train). The area accommodates large scale event facilities such as NISSAN Stadium and Yokohama Arena with over 10 hotels within the walking distance.

The tour consisted of the backyard guided tour of 4 facilities; Yokohama International Pool, Yokohama Rapport, NISSAN Stadium, and Yokohama Arena.

Hakone Bus Tour Departs from Yokohama (updated: Dec. 28, 2011)

During the Chinese New Year period, Hotel New Grand in Yokohama has arranged a special bus tour to "Hakone Shrine New Year's Visit & Gotemba Outlet Mall" by JAPANiCAN.

The bus leaves Yokohama from Hotel New Grand at 8:35am and visit Hakone & Gotemba Outlet in 1 day. The tour includes English speaking guide and lunch at Gotemba Kogen Beer.

Yokohama Restaurant Guide 2012/2013 just published! (updated: Dec. 28, 2011)

To welcome MICE participants from around the world, Yokohama Convention & Visitors Bureau has published the new "Yokohama Restaurant Guide 2012/2013". This restaurant guidebook was specially prepared for participatns visiting Yokohama on various MICE occasions.
It features a total of 151 restaurants and includes a total of 45 delightful special discounts and servicies that are offered exclusively for our MICE participants.

YCVB Exhibits in IMEX AMERICA (updated:Oct. 28, 2011)

IMEX AMERICA was held in Las Vegas from Oct. 11th to 13th. Yokohama Convention & Visitors Bureau exhibited in Japan Booth to promote Yokohama as an attractive MICE destination. Although it was the first IMEX to be held in America, more than 2,000 hosetd buyers attended the Exhibition and we were able to have fruitful meetings with the organizers and meeting planners.

Improved features on Yokohama’s New Website! (updated: Oct. 11, 2011)

Yokohama Convention & Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce that the Official visitors’ website “Yokohama Visitors’ Guide” has been re-designed and re-launched this October to enhance the user interface.

The new website features more images and videos, and users can easily search sightseeing attractions, events, hotels, itineraries and travel tips.

Updates on Yokohama’s newly opened facilities and latest news for visitors can be checked out!

International Convention on QC Circles 2011 held in Yokohama (updated: Sep. 20)

International Convention on QC Circles 2011 was held in PACIFICO Yokohama from Sep. 11th to 13th with great success.Over 1,200 delegates participated in this convention of which 850 participants were from overseas. Dispite the 3.11 great earthquake in northern Japan, the number of delegates reached the target.
Yokohama Convention & Visitors Bureau supported this convention by setting up City Information Desk and dispatching Convention Supporters (citizen volunteers).

International Surgical Week 2011 held in Yokohama (updated Sept. 5, 2011)

International Surgical Week 2011 was held in PACIFICO Yokohama from Aug. 28 to Sept. 1, inviting 2,000 delegates from in and out of the country.
YCVB supported this prestigious conference with a special exhibition of traditional Japanese dolls ("kokeshi") from the Tohoku region, as well as setting up a City Information Desk for the delegates. Also, many accompanying persons enjoyed Japanese Culture Programs (flower arrangement, calligraphy, and origami)presented by Yokohama Convention Supporters (resident volunteers).

Yokohama MICE Seminar took place on Sep. 1! (updated: Sep. 05, 2011)

On Sep. 1, 2011 YCVB hosted "Yokohama MICE Seminar" in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse. We have welcomed over 70 participants who were interested in hosting their meeting in Yokohama.

The program included an inspection of the the newly opening facility "Cup Noodle Museum," the cruise ship "Marine Rouge," and Zen Meditation in Sojjiji Temple.

LinuxCon Japan 2011 held in Yokohama

From May 31, 2011, an international meeting on Open Source Software (OSS), LinuxCon 2011 started in Yokohama. Many delegates from overseas are attending the meeting, and have seen for themselves that Yokohama has no problem in hosting international meetings.

On the first day, an Open Forum titled "The Power of Collaboration in Crisis" was held, where three project leaders on OSS spoke about what they achieved after 3.11, and the ideas they have for the future.
